Description

Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health, has released a report on the unacceptably high rate of self-harm among young Australians. The report is the first in the country that looks systematically and comprehensively into the largely hidden and misunderstood behaviour of self-harm among 12-25 year olds. (This document is not CALD specific).
As of 26-4-16 lit review indicators were: Mental health.
Methodology: In the preparation for this paper, Orygen consulted a number of young people with a lived experience of self-harm. Also consulted were family members and a number of service providers and clinicians who respond to self-harm among young people, including young people with a mental illness.
