Working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background women requires addressing a complex range of issues including residency, family law, support at court, and having time to properly research cultural and religious considerations. Expertise is also need to support women and children escaping family violence who are living in rural and remote locations. The various challenges faced while dealing with the violence faced by CALD women and women in rural and remote locations are described.
