Handwritten letter composed by Beatrice K. Guyett addressed to Dr Dorothy Howard on 18 October 1954. Guyett writes to thank Dr Howard for agreeing to speak about her research project at the Parent's Association annual meeting on 12th November at Korowa Church of England Girls' Grammar School. One of a collection of letters written to and from children's Folklorist Dr Dorothy Howard between 1954 and 1995. Dr Howard came to Australia in 1954-55 as an American Fulbright scholar to study Australian children's folklore. She travelled across Australia for 10 months collecting children's playground rhymes, games, play artefacts, etc. The original fieldwork she collected during this period is held in the Australian Children's Folklore Collection (ACFC) at Museum Victoria and includes index cards, letters and photographs.
