Summary

The Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship (OMAC) within the Department of Premier and Cabinet was established in 2011 to drive Victorian Government multicultural policy and program implementation and promote active citizenship and unity throughout a vibrant multicultural community. OMAC is a research partner in the national Australian Research Council Linkage Project 'Defining the Status of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Young People'. In November 2016 OMAC's name changed to the Multicultural Affairs and Social Cohesion (MASC) Division, due to a structural change in the Department.
