Domain Intersectionality
Summary
Intersectionality calls for a focus on the ways in which an individual's identities intersect, enabling discrimination on the basis of two or more characteristics at the same time (such as gender, gender identity, sex, class, race, disability, sexual orientation and education). Intersectionality recognises the multiple aspects of identity that enrich our lives and experiences, as well as the ways in which they complicate and compound oppressions and marginalisations.
